Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Fumigation Technician to join our environmental pest control team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing safe and effective fumigation procedures to eliminate pests and ensure the health and safety of clients’ properties. Responsibilities
- Prepare properties for fumigation by sealing entry points and ensuring proper ventilation
- Conduct thorough inspections to identify pest infestations and determine appropriate treatment methods
- Apply fumigants accurately using specialized equipment, adhering strictly to safety guidelines and manufacturer instructions
- Monitor the progress of fumigation processes, adjusting procedures as necessary for optimal results
- Maintain detailed records of treatments performed, chemicals used, and safety measures implemented
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed during handling, storage, and disposal of chemicals
- Educate clients on post-fumigation procedures, safety precautions, and property re-entry protocols
- Perform routine maintenance on fumigation equipment to ensure operational efficiency
- Respond promptly to emergency situations or client inquiries with professionalism and expertise
Experience
- Prior experience in pest control, environmental sanitation, or related technical fields is preferred
- Knowledge of chemical handling, safety standards, and environmental regulations related to fumigation practices
- Ability to operate specialized fumigation equipment safely and effectively
- Strong attention to detail with excellent observational skills for identifying pest issues
- Valid certification or licensing as required by local or national regulatory agencies (if applicable)
- Excellent communication skills for client interactions and team collaboration
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks including lifting, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces
