Pest Control Technician | Up to £35k + Overtime + Van | No On Call
£34,000 to £35,000 basic, realistically £40,000+ with overtime
Company van with personal use | Monday to Friday | No on call, ever
No on call. No sales targets. No driving to the other end of the county for one wasp nest.
If you've got your Level 2 and you're tired of weekends on standby, or chasing jobs that never turn into regular work, this is worth five minutes of your time.
You'll be working on residential contracts for local authorities and housing associations, covering South East London and North Kent. The work is steady all year round. You'll have your own patch, your own regular properties, and housing officers who know you by name. That gives you plenty of work and predictable days, with your evenings and weekends left alone.
WHAT YOU GET
- £34,000 to £35,000 basic
- Overtime paid at x1.5, available all year if you want it
- Company van with personal use
- No on call
- Long-term security: these are multi-year council and housing contracts, not seasonal work
- Proper support from a team that has done the job itself
THE JOB
- Inspections and treatments in residential properties: rats, mice, bed bugs, cockroaches and the rest
- Advising residents so the problem doesn't come back
- Working alongside housing officers and contract managers
- Keeping clear, accurate job reports
Some properties will be challenging. You'll be helping people who are often stressed or embarrassed by what's in their home. Technicians who do well here are the ones who treat every resident with patience and respect.
WHAT YOU NEED
- RSPH or BPCA Level 2 in Pest Management
- Full UK driving licence
- Good with people, calm with anxious residents
- Council or housing association experience is a bonus, not a requirement
